Champion boxers in the USA
There are alot of great boxers/MMA fighters in the USA but there are some that are better than any others.
HEAVYWEIGHT
Wladimir Klitschko
The only other heavyweight that might be as good as this fighter is his brother (Vitali Klitschko). Together they have almost wiped out the heavyweight division. He has been a champion since 2006 and still is today.
CRUISERWEIGHT
Yoan Pablo Hernandez
Hernandez dethroned Steve Cunningham of the IBF title and retained it in there rematch, how Hernandez matches up against the other champions continues to be seen.
LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT
Chad Dawson
Upon his defeat of Bernard Hopkins Dawson took the throne of the 175 pound division. He failed to beat super middleweight king Andre Ward, but is still the man to beat in the light heavyweight division in comparison to Beibut Shumenov and Nathan Cleverly.
SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT
Andre Ward
With wins over Mikkel Kessler and Carl Froch, Ward is undoubtedly in a class of his own. Even top light heavyweight Chad Dawson failed to be competitive against Ward.
MIDDLEWEIGHT
Sergio Martinez
After his win against Kelly Pavlik in 2010, Martinez became the world’s best middleweight. This was confirmed as Martinez knocked out Paul Williams in the second round of their rematch. He continued to defeat each opponent despite being stripped of his WBC belt. Martinez got back the WBC strap by winning in a match against Julio Cesar Chavez Junior.
JR. MIDDLEWEIGHT
Saul “Canelo” Alvarez
As long as Floyd Mayweather Jr. intends on fighting at 147 pounds, and because Miguel Cotto recently lost to Austin Trout, Canelo Alvarez is the man to beat in the 154-pound division. In his last few fights, Canelo scored wins over Kermit Cintron, Shane Mosley and Josesito Lopez
WELTERWEIGHT
Floyd Mayweather Jr.
There isnt much to say about Mayweather except that he will always defend his title the best he can when competing with other opponents.
